Rousseau s View On State Of Nature - 1551 Words
In Philosophy the argument of the state of nature often comes into discussion. However, two mainstream philosophers Thomas Hobbes and Jean- Jacques Rousseau have similarities, but mostly have multiple different ideas on this theory. Although Hobbes makes valid points Rousseau s view on state of nature is more realistic then Hobbes. Rousseauââ¬â¢s view on the state of nature is interpreted as a forest, and refers to the ââ¬Å"savage manâ⬠. He begins by explaining how he relates man to an animal he states ââ¬Å"when I strip that beingâ⬠¦ I see an animal less strong than some, less agile the others, but all in all, the most advantageously organized of allâ⬠(Discourse of Inequality, 47). Rousseau believes that if you would leave man in the wild he wouldâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦In Hobbes book Leviathan, he makes the natural man out to be a self obsessed monster who is only interested in his own self preservation. This would intern leave the state of nature to be consumed with war, ââ¬Å"...because the condition of man is conditions of war of everyone against everyoneâ⬠. With out the constrain of government Hobbes states ââ¬Å"So that in the state of nature man will find three principal causes of quarrel: first, competition; secondly, diffidence; thirdly, gloryâ⬠(Leviathan, 76). These principles would then leave men in the state of nature, with a life that Hobbes describes as ââ¬Å"solitary, poor nasty, brutish, and shortâ⬠(Leviathan, 76). Over all Hobbes view on the state of nature is a materialistic world where without an ââ¬Å"absolute sovereignâ⬠the life of man would be nothing more then the ââ¬Å"state of warâ⬠. The two views on the state of nature given by Rousseau and Hobbes have similarities and differences. Of the differences, the first is how each philosopher views the state of nature in itself. Rousseauââ¬â¢s view on the state of nature is the state of equality. The savage is his own noble. On the other hand, in Hobbes state of nature it is nothing more than a state of war. This state of nature is where fear rules, all the people in this state only concern themselves with staying alive, morality does not exist. Another difference between their views is the motivation structure. In Rousseauââ¬â¢s state the people are completely sovereign, each person rules overShow MoreRelatedHobbes And Rousseau s Views On The State Of Nature868 Words à |à 4 Pagesdifferent views on one central issue. The major aspect which is solved by conducting this analysis is that the ethical and cultural code of conduct can easily be identified Culture and Ethics of Huawei Huawei is identified as one of the most organized and well developed organization of China. The organization is specialized in making technical devices and also contributes in the telecom sector of the country. The culture and ethics of the organization are similar to the other countries in some contrast and different too in another contrast (Cremer, 2016). The platform for the cultural aspects is open type. The employees and higher authorities have a right to explore their skills on a wide level. Apart from this, the employee can able to learn new activities every time. The learning phase of the organization is ongoing. In learning phase, the organization can able to learn new activities and promotional aspects. Other than this, the culture and working aspects of the organization are very strict and specific. The employees in an organization of China strictly adheres to the principles and follow the suitable set of work. By adopting the culture positive side of culture, positive results get generated (May, 2006). With reference to the culture, the ethical aspects are quite different. Ethically, the organization has to focus on various aspects by which both the employees and the organization generate the proper profit. Huawei possesses strong ratio for the growth and economic process associated to the organization and which are also improving day by day in a rapid speed (Tao Cremer, 2015). The ethical concept used by the organization will be helpful in providing suitable assistance in the correct direction, The organization mainly follows consumer ethics for bringing stimulus in the existing structure linked to the procedure. Ethically, the organization took the responsibility of various aspects like efficiency, profitability and downsizing connected to the cultural differences (Education, 2016). All these aspects are managed at an ethical level. The employees in the organization are more focused and organized. The concept of JIT is also favorable in contrast to the working culture possessed by the organization (Enderle, 2006). In the above paragraph, the positive aspects related to the organizational ethics and culture are identified, but there are some negative aspects too, which needs to be confirmed while initializing the basic concept related to the processing. As it is defined in the paragraph above that cultural and ethical aspects related to the Huawei are quite different from the organization, so due to this, impact of the process is also different in contrast to the actual processing (Xiao, 2011). According to Syephan Rothlin, the general secretary of Center for International Business ethics (CIBE), the cultural and ethical aspects in relation to the organization are quite different and managed. Both positive and negative impacts are identified at an initial level. The positive impact of ethics and culture of business operation is that it may help in providing suitable flow of business in the organization (Kernes, 2010). The feedback or the output related to the business is also helpful in providing suitable assistance in the appropriate direction. The culture also aids in providing assistance for the management and financial aspects. The growth and environmental aspects may also improve with th help of this. As Huawaeu operates for the extra parts and newly made telecommunications gazettes, so it is essential to follow the specific request related to the culture in the organization. Apart from this positive impact on the culture, some negative aspects are also visible. Accord ing to the negative impact, China follows the hard structure or culture which can create stress on the people associated to the organization. The hard work culture sometimes may also reduce the working efficiency of the employees in the organization (Schulman, 2006). The ethical aspects will be helpful in making an organization as a global player. To be stable in a global market and to establish suitable identity, the corruption should be removed, and it can only be solved by implementing an ethical concept. So, it can be identified that the impact of ethical aspects are positive one. The ethics also helps in providing the best concept of development and managing growth and development linked to the organization. Due to ethics, the rate of escalation in connection to the organization reduces. Apart from this, the employee dissatisfaction may also reduce. The ethical working strategy may also assist in providing the financial and economic aspects for the organization (Sadler, 2011). Ethically, all organizations in China tries to follow the concept of government rules and regulations. This ethical aspect creates a negative impact on the processing of the organizational aspects as well. The ethical approach also creates the impact on the management related aspects (Scarfino Schutte, 2012). The culture and ethics developed in Huawei are helpful in supporting the most supporting aspects in respect to the country. In short, if we summarize the paragraphs, the culture and ethical approach of the country helps in creating a remarkable milestone for the development of the country. Impact of Contextual issues on diversity In contrast to the discussion, there are various organizations in Asia, which are impacted from the culture and ethic factors. The cultural aspects also creates an impact on the economic and financial aspects of an organization. The first country selected for the discussion is Singapore. There are various trading and business opportunities found out in the country. Singapore possesses specific business culture which helps in promoting major aspects related to the business. Singapore has various organizations named as the Singapore South East organization, Nanyang University and Singapore Scout. All these organizations assists in defining the most basic approach related to the cultural and economic aspects. As, Singapore people are related to the various sub castes and creeds, so to manage language and working aspects, the suitable system is identified at an initial level (Gunasekaran, 2017). Apart from this, the ethics are also identified to create a positive impact on the working strategy of the organizations connected to Singapore. The difference from the other countries is that they may be helpful in defining a proper approach related to the development. The second Asian country selected for the discussion is named as Japan. Japan is identified as one of the famous service providing country, in which maximum technical products are being prepared. In Japan, the working culture and ethics which are followed are quite different in comparison to China and Singapore (Tay, 1996). The employees or workers are divided into two parts which are named as the core workers and temporary workers. The core workers are those who have some specific features and are identities for the working aspects. The temporary workers are those who have no definite working structure. This working structure helps in defining the specific working structure for the improvement. Ethically, the country can also able to achieve the financial and economic stability in the correct direction. So, it can be identified that the working culture and ethics are defined as per the changes in the location. Conclusion After observing the research aspect on an initial level, it is identified that the contextual issues create both negative and positive impacts on the working structure of the organization. It is essential to put forward the suitable requests in contrast to the development and improvement of these contextual issues on the wide level. The best results will be generated when the appropriate aspects associated with the process can be recognized References Cremer, D. Public Education Vs. Private Education Essays - Private School
Public Education Vs. Private Education Public Education v/s Private Education A persons education is one of the most important factors in determining whether or not they will become a productive member of society. That is why when considering an education the quality of the education is almost as important as the education itself. So when private schools came into the picture the debate then began between public and private schools. Facing the technological revolution that we are going through without a good quality education a person will be left behind. Even though public and private schools are separate institutions they have to follow certain guidelines so there are a lot of similarities between the two. Such as, both school systems have the intentions of giving their students the best education within their means. Both have educated professionals that have decided to devote the rest of their careers to furthering the education of our youth. They each have set up rules hoping to keep it a positive learning environment. They both use standardized testing as a tool to evaluate the progress of their students. They can also access the weaknesses from these tests to improve the curriculum that they have composed. They also have clubs like volunteer groups that help out people in their surrounding community. There are also student governments where students elect students to improve upon the learning environment in which they are. Schools also have extra curricular activities like sports where students compete against other schools where they learn school spirit and how to work as a team. With all of these activities students can hopefully find something that they enjoy spending their free time. This also hopefully keeps children out of trouble. Private schools have a lot to offer. The most important thing they bring to the table is the high standards that they set. With the majority of the students wanting to achieve at such high levels this creates a very positive learning environment for students to excel in. With these high standards and positive learning environment students are more apt to take college prep courses as those in public schools. The test scores of private schools are higher than those of public schools are. The main reason scores are higher is because of class sizes. Children in private schools do not have congested classes. This gives the teacher the opportunity to devote more one on one time with each student. This also allows a teacher to spend less time disciplining, and more time teaching. Violence in private schools is not as bad as the violence in public schools. This is because private schools will not allow the student to stay in school if they commit an act of violence. This allows the students to focus more on their studies. Yet another difference between public and private schools are religious factors. In a private school setting there is no separation of church and state in some cases. Often times the private school will be set up according to a certain religion. In effect the curriculum practices will be based on the denominations beliefs. There is not so much as a school-wide prayer in a public school. Most private schools focus on preparation for college, whereas public schools cater more to preparation for vocational occupations. Public schools are definitely a lot more down to earth. They are non-discriminatory it is not as much about what your last name, is or what kind of car you drive, or the neighborhood you live in, it's about the individual. The kids do not think that they are better just because of what school they go to. Also private schools are predominately white so students don't get to experience all the different cultures that they will have to encoun ter in the real world. In public schools every child is provided with an education regardless of social or economic factors. Scholarships are given more often to public schools rather than private. Public schools also offer more special programs for kids with learning problems and disabilities. Children with disabilities are also able to interact with other children that have disabilities. This allows them to relate to the children and it builds self-esteem. Public schools and private schools
